Field Combat Rescue Kit :
1. Water Repellent Bag : The bag is made of highly durable dual laminated mattey and has strength to carry weight up to 20 kilograms. The special cloth used in the bag does not allow water to penetrate easily. Two pockets are attached at the sides for carrying oxygen cylinders in the operational area.
Two pockets at back and front allow keeping additional items such as ambu bag, tourniquets, airway gudels etc. Extra wide and extra padded shoulder straps minimises the pressure of bag on the shoulders of carrier person. To support the bag an abdominal belt has been provided, which also has padding, along with high quality buckle for quick and easy release. Bag is available in green/black/beige colour as well as in disruptive pattern.
2. MAT Tourniquet: Mechanical Advantage Tourniquet (MAT): it is one of the world’s best one hand tourniquets. In case of grievous injury the most common cause of death is excessive loss of blood. MAT stops bleeding in less than 10 seconds when bleeding in less then 10 seconds when applied to wounded /bleeding limb of injured person. This helps in saving life of injured person. The Design of MAT is such that even the injured person can apply it himself without any assistance. It is the only tourniquet tested by DoD standards which can be applied to trapped limbs. MAT has been tested and approved by various armed forces such as US army ant it meets all DoD desired performance and featured. It is being manufactured by PYNG Medical, Canada.
3. Compression Bandage-for Limbs: Rakshika: Surgiwear have made this improvised pressure dressing which can be used by injured soldier himself and that too with just one hand. After a lot of research and continuous development, they have innovated one of world’s best emergency pressure dressing.A special adhesive strip at the start of dressing helps in single had application. A ridge is incorporated in the design of rakshika so that pressure could be localized on the bleeding point itself. It is available in width size of 6 inches.
Rakshika dressing incorporates all 5 difference requirements of any complete bandage.Any complete bandagedressing needs to have the following 5 things separately.
- Gauze piece (Sterile)
- Cotton (Sterile)
- Antiseptic
- Bandage (Sterile)
- Adhesive tape to secure end of dressing.
Rakshika has in-built wound pad with cotton sealed in it. The wound pad contains antiseptic solution which helps in controlling infection at wound site. The top layer of wound pad has a special lining which does not allow it to stick to the wound. The end of Rakshika dressing has Velcro which helps in securing the bandage. It comes pre-sterilized has shelf life of 5 years.It is supplied vacuum packed for easy carriage in field area.
4. Crepe Bandage : CREPE BANDAGE: The Cotton crepe bandage offered in the kit is being manufactured by johnson & johnson under the brand name Dynacrepe. It is used for emergency aid treatment to support and immobilise the arm of leg following injury. The cotton crepe bandage conforms easily to compress injured areas to prevent swelling.
5. Band Aid Strip : It is to be used as first aid dressing for small suts or wounds. Band Aid offered in the kit is being manufactured by johnson & johnson and has antiseptic in it. It is to be used us first aid dressing for small cuts or wounds. 30 pieces of BandAid are provided in eact kit.
6. Elasto Band : ELASTO BAND: The Elasto band is being manufactured by Surgiwear which is an ISO 13485:2003 Company. Elasto band has very good elasticity due to which it applies great pressure at the site of injury Size of Elasto Band is 10X300 cms and it is CE market. It is supplied duly sterilized.
